Following the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3, DC has removed Gal Gadot from upcoming film

As the DC Universe undergoes significant changes, it appears that one of the four DC films scheduled for release next year has removed a cameo featuring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

Since James Gunn and Peter Safran became co-CEOs of the DC Comics Universe a few months ago, there have been significant changes in the direction of the DCU. Fans have noticed some major shifts in the way the DCU will proceed under their leadership.

As a result, several movies that were in development have been canceled. There have been compelling rumors that the team might also be recasting the core Justice League characters and start anew, finally putting the Snyderverse to rest.

James Gunn is a filmmaker and screenwriter best known for his work in the superhero and science fiction genres. Gunn began his career in the film industry as a screenwriter and director of low-budget horror and comedy films. He gained widespread recognition for his work on the Guardians of the Galaxy and Suicide Squad franchises, which were produced by Marvel Studios and DC Comics, respectively.

In addition to his work on these blockbuster franchises, Gunn has also written and directed a number of other films, including Super, Slither, and The Belko Experiment. He is known for his distinctive style and irreverent sense of humor, which have earned him a large and dedicated fan base.

Wonder Woman 3, starring Gal Gadot and directed by Patty Jenkins, was among the first movies to be canceled under Gunn’s watch. Jenkins was unable to influence the decision as Warner Bros. has drastically altered its plans for the DC Universe. Now, a new report suggests that Gadot’s tenure at DC may be coming to an end even sooner than anticipated, with news indicating that her upcoming cameo has been cut during post-production.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has decided to remove Gal Gadot’s appearance as Wonder Woman from the upcoming film The Flash, set to be released in 2023.

This decision comes after the studio decided not to move forward with Wonder Woman 3, which was set to star Gadot and be directed by Patty Jenkins. In addition to Gadot’s removal from The Flash, another cameo featuring Henry Cavill as Superman has also been cut.

However, an insider named KC Walsh has taken to Twitter to dispute these reports. He stated that Gadot’s character will still be appearing in The Flash, which is set to be released in June.

Is Gal Gadot going to appear in The Flash?

There has been some speculation about whether or not Gal Gadot will appear in the upcoming film The Flash, set to be released in June 2023. Set photos from June 2021 showed an image of Gadot’s character Diana Prince on the side of a bus in Central City. This suggested that her role in the film might be more significant than just a single photograph of Wonder Woman.

However, recent reports indicate that Gadot may not be a part of the film at all, as the DC Universe undergoes significant changes. It is unclear at this time how Gadot’s character would have fit into the film. The film is set to explore the DC Multiverse with characters like Michael Keaton’s Batman taking center stage.

This would have been Gadot’s first appearance in a DC movie since Wonder Woman 1984, which may now be her final time playing the role.

With six months still remaining until The Flash’s release, there could still be significant changes to the story behind the scenes. This is due to newly appointed executives and actor Ezra Miller’s ongoing legal issues. This leaves many questions about Gadot’s future in the DC Universe, which will likely be addressed in the coming weeks and months.

A June 16, 2023 release date has been set for The Flash.
